Lip Smack Brings “Save 1000 Kittens” Home to Venice Beach

Lip Smack’s “Save 1000 Kittens (Venice Beach)” takes one of the playful songs from Hot in L.A. and places it in a warmer, more intimate setting.

Released by Ringtone Records 26, the single replaces much of the original’s polished pop energy with relaxed guitar, softer vocals and an easy coastal atmosphere. A slight Latin character in the guitar gives the track its own identity while keeping it rooted in melodic alternative pop.

The Venice Beach version feels less like a remix and more like the same song moved into a different room. The arrangement is breezy, organic and unhurried, suited to mellow summer listening, beach afternoons, acoustic pop and relaxed West Coast settings.
